CoinParty Hackathon Rules

Timeline

  • Teams must have officially formed and registered with us by 12pm UTC+0 12th January 2021.

Submissions

  • Project submissions must be made in the form of a gitlab/github repo in the case of open-source software. If your project is of closed-source software then a document must be provided .and a video presentation.
  • Project submissions must be made by 12pm UTC+0 on 19th January 2021.

Teams

  • The work submitted must be developed during the hackathon.
  • Any work done before the hackathon must be declared between 12pm UTC+0 11th January 2021 and 12pm UTC+0 12th January 2021.
  • Teams can have from 1-5 members.
  • Teams will be required to write a long form article (to be released before the hackathon starts) detailing what they are building.
  • Teams will be asked to write a long form article after the hackathon is finished giving their thoughts on their experience during the hackathon.
  • Teams will be required to create a video presenting their hackathon idea for release at the beginning of the hackathon.
  • Each teams will be given a public channel within the Bitcoin Unlimited slack and this is to be used for discussion of their project.

Code of Conduct

  • This Code of Conduct applies to all participants, judges, advisors and staff involved in CoinParty2020.
  • Like Bitcoin Cash, CoinParty is open to anyone to get involved. We encourage a diversity of people, skills and views.
  • We will not tolerate toxic behaviour such as harassment, abuse or trolling. CoinParty is focussed on building positivity and forward progress within the BCH ecosystem. Specifically these behaviours include but are not limited to:
    • vulgar or abusive verbal or written language,
    • negative or demeaning comments regarding gender, sexual orientation, physical or mental ability, age, socioeconomic status, ethnicity, physical appearance, race, religion,
    • sharing sexual images or sexually suggestive material,
    • intimidation, stalking, frequent unsolicited contact of any type, and unwelcome sexual attention.
  • Pseudonymity is allowed.
  • Where possible, real-time communication between your team and other people involved in CoinParty2020 should happen on the Bitcoin Unlimited slack within the official channels and your team channel.
